slide1Community Empowerment Program

Equipping people to pursue their God given purpose and break generational cycles of poverty.

Go and Tell is passionate about spreading the “Good News” of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus declared, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” The “Good News” is that God loves us and has planted inside of us, a purpose and plan for our life. We believe that this same purpose planted in each of us at Go and Tell has also been planted inside each and every person in Uganda.
Despite challenges from coming out of a civil war, the AIDs epidemic, poverty and disease, we believe that each and every person has the potential to overcome, and live a life to the “full” as promised by Jesus. Through our Community Empowerment Program, we will seek to equip locals to pursue their God given purpose and break generational poverty.
They will not only increase their income-generating opportunities but be able to give more to the community and impact our world.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.”-Isaiah 61:1

Worshipping With Talents And Skills

We have built an incredible team of people who are devoted to planting hope in the lives of the people and children of Uganda. Furthermore, we truly believe that work is an act of worship to God. Whether we are working as Teachers, Pastors, Doctors, Lawyers or Businesspeople, God is ready for a generation of people to pursue their God given talents and skills for his Kingdom.

“…work is an act of worship. When people seek to fulfill their callings by glorifying God in their work, praising Him for their gifts and abilities, and seeing both their efforts and its products as an offering to Him, then work is an act of worship to God.” -Brian Fickert

The Community Empowerment Program will consist of the following:

-Minipreneurship Program

-Talents and Skills Training

-Child Hen Program

-Sewing Skills

-Woodworking Training

-Small Business Classes

-Child Saving Accounts

-Microloan Program

Poverty alleviation occurs when the power of Christ’s resurrection reconciles our key relationships through the transformation of both individual lives and local, national and international systems.”

-Brian Fikkert, When Helping Hurts

Let Hope Rise

Women receiving their Certificate of Training, Go and Tell Women’s Conference- 2013

In a nation with over 2.5 million orphans and an epidemic of poverty, there is no better place for the Go and Tell vision to take root than Uganda. We are passionate about encouraging people to hear the Good News, Go and Tell the Good News to others, and use their gifts, skills and talents planted on the inside to shake the world.
We want people to pursue the burning desires and secret dreams in their heart, planted by God in the first place. They are there for us to discover and then give away to something greater than ourselves. He wants to awaken and empower people to make a difference in this desperate hour.
Thank you for partnering with us to help unlock purpose and break generational cycles. Together, we can shake the world. Miracles happen when we come together in unity.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. For there the lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”-Psalm 133:1,3
